Towiemore var et Highland single malt skotsk whisky-destilleri i Botriphnie, Skotland.

Historie

Towiemore blev opført i 1896 af destillatøren og blenderen Peter Dawson i Botriphnie, Skotland.[1]

Destilleriet lukkede under første verdenskrig. Det genåbnede efter krigens afslutning, men genvandt aldrig den tidligere kvalitet af whiskyen, da den blev uklar.[2][1]

I 1930 var Towiemore lukket.[1]

I 2016 udgav Lost Distillery Company en blended malt ved navn Towiemore ved hjælp af historiske oplysninger i et forsøg på at genskabe den oprindelige whisky.[1][3]
