Historie

Ladyburn-destilleriet var en udvidelse af Girvan-destilleriet, som selv blev opført i 1963 af William Grant & Sons Ltd. Maltwhisky-delen af destilleriet blev etableret i 1966 med tilføjelsen af to pot stills. Malt-delen af destilleriet blev lukket i 1975 og revet ned i 1976.[1]

De uafhængige aftappere Signatory Vintage og Wilson and Morgan har udgivet Ladyburn single malt under navnet "Ayrshire", opkaldt efter det skotske council-område hvor Girvan ligger.[2]

I december 2021 blev en flaske Ladyburn fra 1966 solgt på auktion for over £80.000.[3]
