Maneno saba katika Ukristo ni yale ambayo Yesu aliyatamka akiwa msalabani na yamerekodiwa katika Injili nne.^[1][2]

Kati yake, matatu yanapatikana katika Injili ya Luka tu, mawili katika Injili ya Yohane tu. Lingine linapatikana katika Injili ya Mathayo na Injili ya Marko vilevile. Lingine tena limerekodiwa na Yohane lakini Mathayo na Marko wamelidokeza.^[3]

Katika Mathayo na Marko, Yesu Kristo anamlilia Mungu. Katika Luka, yeye anawasamehe wauaji wake, anamfariki mhalifu aliyetubu, na kumkabidhi Baba roho yake. Katika Yohane, Yesu anasema na mama yake na mwanafunzi mpendwa, anatokeza kiu yake, na kutangaza utimilifu wa kazi na maisha yake yote kadiri ya mpango wa Mungu^[4].

Maneno ya buriani ya mtu yeyote yanatiwa maanani sana. Yanaweza kusaidia kuelewa nini ilikuwa muhimu kwake. Ilikuwa hivyo hasa kwa Yesu^[5] aliyeweza kusema machache tu kutokana na hali yake.^[6]
