Митвајда (германски: Mittweida) — поранешен округ во сојузната покраина Саксонија, Германија. Се граничел со (од север надесно) окрузите Мулдентал, Дебелн, Фрајберг, слободниот град Кемниц и округот Кемниц, округот Алтенбург во Тирингија и округот Лајпциг.

Историја

Округот бил создаден во 1994 година, кога претходните окрузи Хајнихен, Рохлиц и дел од округот Кемниц се споиле. Во август 2008 година, како дел од реформата на окрузите во Саксонија, окрузите Дебелн, Фрајберг и Митвајда биле споени во новиот округ Средна Саксонија.

Географија

Округот се наоѓал во падините на Рудните Планини, само областа на северозападот околу Рохлиц припаѓа на низините околу Лајпциг (Leipziger Tieflandsbucht). Во оваа област е исто така најниската точка во округот со 144 метри надморска височина; највисоката точка е во Хаусдорф (дел од Франкенберг) со 488 м. Три главни реки во округот се Цвикауер Мулде, Кемниц и Чопау.
