Məlikpəyə — Azərbaycan Respublikasının Laçın rayonu Malxələf kənd inzibati ərazi dairəsində kənd. Azərbaycan Respublikası Ali Sovetinin 7 fevral 1991-ci il tarixli, 54-XII saylı Qərarı ilə Laçın rayonunun Mığıdərə kənd Sovetindən Məlikpəyə kəndi Malxələf kənd Sovetinin tərkibinə verilmişdir.[1] 1992-ci ildə Ermənistan Respublikası Silahlı Qüvvələri tərəfindən işğal edilib. 2020-ci ildə İkinci Qarabağ müharibəsinin sonucunda imzalanan atəşkəs bəyanatının nəticəsində işğaldan azad olunub. 2022-ci ilin avqustunda Laçın dəhlizini əvəz edən Rusiya sülhməramlılarının nəzarətində olan Ermənistan və Dağlıq Qarabağ arasında yeni dəhlizdə yerləşir. [2][3]19 sentyabr 2023-cü ildə aparılan lokal xarakterli antiterror əməliyyatları nəticəsində yenidən Azərbaycan Respublikasının nəzarətinə qayıtmışdır.

Toponimikası

Kəndin keçmiş adı Soltanlı olmuş, Qışlaq da adlanmışdır. Yerli əhalinin məlumatına görə, XIX əsrdə Cəbrayıl qəzasının Soltanlı kəndindən Məlik adlı bir nəfər burada pəyə tikərək mal-qara saxlamişdir. Sonralar burada yaranmış daimi yaşayış məntəqəsi həmin adla adlanmışdır.[4]

2006-cı ilin statistikasına görə kəndin əhali sayı 70 nəfər olmuşdur.
