Le 282^e régiment d'infanterie (282^e RI) est un régiment d'infanterie de l'Armée de terre française constitué en 1914 avec les bataillons de réserve du 82^e régiment d'infanterie.

À la mobilisation, chaque régiment d'active créé un régiment de réserve dont le numéro est le sien plus 200.

Création et différentes dénominations

Août 1914 : 282^e Régiment d'Infanterie
Mai 1916 : dissolution avec reversement des effectifs aux 204^e et 289^e régiment d'infanterie (effet au 1^er juin 1916)

Première Guerre mondiale

Affectation

55^e division d'Infanterie, composée de la 109^e brigade (204^e, 282^e, 289^e) et de la 110^e brigade (231^e, 246^e, 276^e), faisant partie du 3^e Groupement de division de réserve (GDR) de la 3^e armée française, d'août 1914 à mai 1916.

- 6^e bataillon : 21^e, 22^e, 23^e et 24^e compagnies.
