開前不圓唇元音是元音的一種，用於一些口語當中，國際音標以⟨a⟩代表此音，而X-SAMPA音標則以⟨a⟩代表此音。根據《健力士世界紀錄大全》，這個音是全世界最多語言使用的音素。^{[來源請求]}

特徵

其元音高度為開，這意指舌頭的位置會盡量遠離齒齦。

其元音舌位是前，表示舌頭會盡可能地朝向嘴巴前面，但不至于阻礙氣流而被歸類為子音。通常圓唇前元音的實際位置會比參考點的位置還要更靠近中央（稱此過程為央化（英语：Relative articulation#Centralized））。因此，前元音事實上常常是次前元音。

其圓唇度為不圓唇元音，嘴唇自然放鬆，不特別向前突起。

該音出現於

許多語言都擁有不同形式的此元音。對於只有一個開（低）元音的語，通常會使用⟨a⟩這個元音符號，因為這個符號是基本拉丁字母中唯一的低元音。
