การใช้พลังงานในประเทศไทย พ.ศ. 2556[1]

พลังงานในประเทศไทย กล่าวถึงการใช้พลังงาน และการผลิตไฟฟ้า การนำเข้าและส่งออกไฟฟ้าของประเทศไทย ในปี พ.ศ. 2556 กระทรวงพลังงานได้กล่าวว่าประเทศไทยมีการใช้พลังงาน 75.2 Mtoe และเพิ่มขึ้นจากปีก่อนหน้าร้อยละ 2.6[2] โดยทางบริษัทบริติชปิโตรเลียมได้ประมาณการใช้พลังงานของประเทศไทยที่ 115.6 Mtoe ในปีเดียวกัน[1] ในขณะเดียวกันมีการประมาณการที่กล่าวถึงในเดอะเวิลด์แฟกต์บุ๊กว่าในปี พ.ศ. 2557 ประเทศไทยมีกำลังการผลิตไฟฟ้าที่ 164,000 กิโลวัตต์-ชั่วโมง โดยมีการนำเข้าไฟฟ้า 12,000 กิโลวัตต์-ชั่วโมง และส่งออกไฟฟ้า 1,600 กิโลวัตต์-ชั่วโมง[3]

ประเทศไทยสามารถผลิตน้ำมันได้ประมาณหนึ่งในสามของน้ำมันที่มีการใช้ในประเทศและเป็นประเทศที่มีการนำเข้าน้ำมันเป็นอันดับสองของประเทศในเอเซียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ประเทศไทยยังเป็นผู้ผลิตแก๊สธรรมชาติเป็นจำนวนมาก และมีถ่านหินเป็นอันดับที่สองของเอเซียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้รองจากประเทศอินโดนีเซีย

ไฟฟ้า

ร้อยละ 90 ของพลังงานที่ใช้ในเมืองไทยผลิตในรูปแบบดั้งเดิม จากรูปแบบของการใช้พลังงานเชื้อเพลิงเช่น น้ำมัน แก๊สธรรมชาติ และถ่านหิน โดยส่วนที่เหลือเป็นพลังงานจากพลังงานทางเลือก อาทิ มวลชีวภาพ แก๊สชีวภาพ พลังงานน้ำ พลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ พลังงานลม ฯลฯ[4]

น้ำมัน

ราคาน้ำมันไทยมีการกำหนดจากโครงสร้างราคาน้ำมันสำเร็จรูปไทย ซึ่งมีการเก็บภาษีและเงินเข้ากองทุนต่าง ๆ ถึง 35–60% ของราคาหน้าปัํม[5] นอกจากนี้ยังมีปัจจัยจากการอุดหนุนเชื้อเพลิงชีวภาพที่แพงกว่าน้ำมันปกติ และค่ากลั่นน้ำมันที่เอกชนกำหนดเองได้[6]
