James "Jamie" Peter Maxwell Dornan (Condado de Down, 1 de maio de 1982)[2][3] é um ator, modelo e músico norte-irlandês.

Ele iniciou sua carreira como modelo em 2001, apareceu em campanhas para a Hugo Boss, Dior Homme e Calvin Klein. Apelidado de "Torso Dourado" pelo The New York Times, ele foi classificado como um dos "25 Maiores Modelos Masculinos de Todos os Tempos" da Vogue em 2015. Biografia

Dornan nasceu em Holywood, Condado de Down, Irlanda do Norte, e cresceu nos subúrbios de Belfast.[4] Ele tem duas irmãs mais velhas: Liesa, que trabalha para a Disney em Londres, e Jess, uma estilista formada em Falmouth, Inglaterra.[5] Seu pai, Professor, Jim Dornan, é um obstetra e ginecologia que também pensou em se tornar um ator.[6][7] Dornan tinha 16 anos quando sua mãe, Lorna, morreu de câncer no pâncreas.[4][7][8] Dornan é primo da atriz Greer Garson.[4] Seus avós de ambos os lados de sua família eram Pregadores metodistas laico.[6]

Carreira

Dornan participou da banda de folk Sons of Jim, até que acabou de vez em 2008. Sons of Jim apoiou a cantora e compositora escocesa KT Tunstall em turnê.[10]

O primeiro trabalho de Dornan foi como modelo. Em 2003, ele fez campanha para Abercrombie & Fitch.[11] Ele então fez campanhas para várias outras marcas famosas como Aquascutum, Hugo Boss e Armani.[12] Seus trabalhos notáveis incluem grandes campanhas publicitárias com marcas como Dior Homme e Calvin Klein (ambos com Kate Moss e Eva Mendes), ele foi rotulado como "The Golden Torso" pelo The New York Times.[13][14]

Foi lançado em 2 de setembro de 2016.[22] Em novembro de 2014, Dornan foi #3 no ranking Sexiest Man Alive da revista People.[23]

Em fevereiro de 2015, foi confirmado que Dornan tinha sido escalado para a segunda e terceira franquia de filmes Fifty Shades. Fifty Shades Darker foi lançado em 2017.[24]

Em março de 2015, foi relatado que o drama da BBC The Fall retornará para uma terceira temporada, revelando o destino do personagem de Dornan. A terceira temporada foi ao ar originalmente na RTÉ One e na BBC Two de 25 de setembro a 28 de outubro de 2016.

Vida pessoal

Dornan teve um relacionamento com a atriz Keira Knightley, de 2003 a 2005. Atualmente está casado com a atriz, cantora e musicista Amelia Warner, com quem tem três filhas: Dulcie, nascida no dia 21 de novembro de 2013,[25][26][27] Elva, nascida em 16 de fevereiro de 2016, [28][29] e Alberta Maeve, nascida em 18 de fevereiro de 2019.[30][31][32]

Dornan é um apoiador da equipe de futebol Manchester United F.C.[33]
