Əsədabad — Azərbaycan Respublikasıınn Yardımlı rayonunun inzibati ərazi vahidində kənd. Azərbaycan Respublikası Milli Məclisinin 13 iyun 2008-ci il tarixli, 646-IIIQ saylı Qərarı ilə Yardımlı rayonunun Yardımlı qəsəbə inzibati ərazi dairəsi tərkibindəki Əsədabad kəndi Yardımlı qəsəbəsi ilə birləşdirilmiş və bu kənd Azərbaycan Respublikasının ərazi vahidlərinin Dövlət reyestrindən çıxarılmışdır.[1]

Toponimikası

XX əsrin əvvəllərində kəndin adı Əsədkənd variantında qeydə alınmışdır. Mənbələrdə XIX əsrin axırlarında burada Talış dağlarında yaşamış pirembel/perimbel tayfasına mənsub bir tirənin məskunlaşması haqqında məlumat verilir. Oykonim bu tirənin başçısı Əsədin adı ilə adlandırılmışdır.[2]
