Koja adalah sebuah wilayah kecamatan yang terletak di Kota Jakarta Utara dan merupakan Pusat Pemerintahan dari Kota Jakarta Utara, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia, dengan luas wilayah 13,21 km2.[3]

Batas-batas Koja di sebelah utara adalah Teluk Jakarta, di barat jalan tol Laksamana Yos Sudarso, di timur Pelabuhan Minyak, Kali Baru, jalan Kramat Jaya, dan Kali Cakung, serta di selatan Kali Batik. Kali Sunter adalah sebuah kanal yang mengalir ke laut melalui Koja, dengan muara yang terletak di perbatasan antara Kecamatan Koja dan Kecamatan Cilincing.

Bagian timur dari Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok termasuk dalam kecamatan ini, yang terdiri dari Terminal Kontainer I, Terminal Kontainer III, dan Terminal Kontainer Koja. Salah satu objek wisata budaya adalah Kampung Tugu, yaitu suatu komunitas keturunan Portugis Mardijkers yang telah dibebaskan dari tawanan perang pemerintah Hindia Belanda.

Kecamatan ini terdiri atas beberapa kelurahan, yakni:[4]

  1. Kelurahan Koja, dengan kode pos 14220
  2. Kelurahan Rawa Badak Utara, dengan kode pos 14230
  3. Kelurahan Rawa Badak Selatan, dengan kode pos 14230
  4. Kelurahan Tugu Utara, dengan kode pos 14260
  5. Kelurahan Tugu Selatan, dengan kode pos 14260
  6. Kelurahan Lagoa, dengan kode pos 14270

Demografi

Ditahun 2020, penduduk kecamatan ini berjumlah 352.306 jiwa, dimana laki-laki sebanyak 178.703 jiwa dan perempuan sebanyak 173.602 jiwa, dengan kepadatan penduduk 26.405 jiwa/km2.[2][5]

Kota Jakarta Utara, termasuk di kecamatan ini, warganya berasal dari beragam Suku, Agama, Ras dan Adat istiadat (SARA). Berdasarkan data Sensus penduduk 2010, warga Jakarta Utara didominasi oleh warga dari suku Jawa, Betawi, Batak, dan Sunda, serta sebagian merupakan suku Minangkabau, Tionghoa, Bugis, dan suku lainnya.[6]

Kemudian dalam hal keagamaan, penduduk kecamatan ini juga cukup beragam. Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik kota Jakarta Utara tahun 2020 mencatat jumlah pemeluk agama, dimana Islam sebanyak 90,70%, kemudian Kristen 8,76% (Protestan 6,98% dan Katolik 1,81%), Budha 0,51% dan Hindu 0,03%.[5]
