NGC 1931是M36西侧相隔略超一度的星云,业余望远镜基本无法观测,综合亮度10.1视星等[86],规模三乘三弧分,但在业余望远镜下显得更长[95]。星云有时呈绿色,大型望远镜可以明显看出形状类似“花生”,还能看到星云包裹的四颗恒星[80]。NGC 1931还有一部分属I3pn级疏散星团,星云部分既是發射星雲、又是反射星雲[86]。NGC 1931距太阳系约六千光年,从望远镜的接目镜观测极易误认成彗星[96]。
NGC 1664直径18弧分,是比较大的疏散星团,7.6视星等亮度在御夫座疏散星团属中等水平。7.7视星等的NGC 1778也是疏散星团,直径七弧分,含25颗恒星。7.0视星等的NGC 1857直径六弧分,含40颗恒星,远比规模接近的NGC 1778密集。10.2视星等的NGC 2126比其他疏散星团要黯淡得多,六弧分直径范围内同样有40颗恒星,密集度与NGC 1857接近。[44]
