Tidenes 100 beste kriminalromaner er kåret ved to anledninger. I 1990 av den britiske forfatterorganisasjonen Crime Writers' Association (CWA),^[1] og i 1995 av den amerikanske søsterorganisasjonen Mystery Writers of America (MWA).^[2]
