Vatnsdæla saga

Vatnsdæla saga er fornsaga sem telst til Íslendingasagna. Sagan er ættarsaga Vatnsdæla. Hún hefst í Noregi og segir frá Ingimundi gamla landnámi hans í Vatnsdal, þar sem hann gerist ættarhöfðingi dalsins. Sagan fylgir svo næstu afkomendum hans til um 900 fram til dauða Þorkels kröflu í upphafi 11. aldar.

Sagan er talin rituð um 1270 og líklega í Þingeyraklaustri eins og fleiri merk handrit.

Vatnsdæla saga hefur verið gefin út í mörgum útgáfum. Þeirra á meðal eru:
