Tájbeosztás

A Kárpát–Pannon-térség természeti tájbeosztása szerint az Északkeleti-Kárpátok nagytáj részét képező középtáj. Maga a Gorgánok, Máramarosi-Verhovina, Kraszna-havas és Fagyalos(wd) kistájakból áll.[1]

Vízrajz

A Gorgánok vidékén található a Fekete-Tisza forrásvidéke.[2]
