Ο Φήλιξ Δ΄[1] (Papa Felice IV, ... - 22 Σεπτεμβρίου 530) ήταν Πάπας από τις 12 Ιουλίου του 526 έως το θάνατό του το 530[2].

Καταγόταν από το Σάμνιον και ο πατέρας του ονομαζόταν Καστόριος. Μετά τον θάνατο του Ιωάννη Α΄ στα χέρια του βασιλιά των Οστρογότθων Θευδέριχου, οι παπικοί εκλογείς υπέκυψαν στην επιθυμία του ηγεμόνα και εξέλεξαν τον καρδινάλιο Φήλικα, Πάπα. Η υποστήριξη του Φήλικα από τον βασιλιά των ώθησε να διεκδικήσει μεγαλύτερα προνόμια για την Εκκλησία.

Εξελέγη μετά από ένα διάστημα δύο μηνών μετά τον θάνατο του Ιωάννη.

Ένα αυτοκρατορικό διάταγμα εγγυήθηκε ότι οι υποθέσεις ενάντια στον κλήρο ενέπιπταν στη δικαιοδοσία του Πάπα. Ο Φήλιξ διευκρίνισε τη χάρη και την ελεύθερη βούληση σε απάντηση μίας έκκλησης για την αντιμετώπιση του Ημιπελαγιανισμού στη Γαλατία.

Ο Πάπας Φήλιξ επιχείρησε να ορίσει ως διάδοχό του τον Βονιφάτιο Β΄. Η αντίδραση της γερουσίας ήταν να απαγορεύσει τη συζήτηση για τη διαδοχή όσο ο Πάπας ήταν εν ζωή, και την αποδοχή μίας ανάλογης υποψηφιότητας.

Η πλειοψηφία του κλήρου αντιτιθέμενη στην επιθυμία του Φήλικα εξέλεξε τον Διόσκορο για Πάπα, και μόνο η μειοψηφία στήριξε τον Βονιφάτιο.

Ο Φήλιξ έχτισε τον ναό των Αγίων Κοσμά και Δαμιανού στις Αυτοκρατορικές αγορές.

  1. ↑ Όταν ξεκίνησε η αρίθμηση των Παπών, ο Αντιπάπας Φήλιξ Β΄ συνυπολογίστηκε στους επίσημους Πάπες. Πρόσφατα έγινε προσπάθεια τροποποίησης της αρίθμησης, ώστε να εξαιρεθεί ο αντιπάπας, έτσι ο Φήλιξ Γ΄ να θεωρηθεί Β΄ και και ο αναφερόμενος εδώ Φήλιξ Δ΄ να θεωρηθεί Γ΄. Αλλά αυτή η νέα αρίθμηση δεν έχει καθιερωθεί.
