Distributed Social Networking Protocol

Distributed Social Networking Protocol (DSNP) is a discontinued protocol that allows for the creation of a decentralized social network, such as email.[1]

It is an open-source technology that supports the usage of private communications in a manner that is similar to modern social networks. The most recent version of the protocol is 0.6. The leading author is Adrian Thurston.[2]

Since its creation, newer protocols have been created, such as the similarly-named Decentralized Social Networking Protocol.[3]
