Eksistensialisme Kristen

Søren Kierkegaard

Eksistensialisme Kristen adalah gerakan teofilosofis yang menggunakan suatu pendekatan eksistensialis pada teologi Kristen. Aliran pemikiran ini sering ditelusuri kembali jejaknya dari karya seorang filsuf dan teolog Denmark, Søren Kierkegaard (1813–1855), yang dianggap sejumlah pihak sebagai bapak eksistensialisme.[1]

Pendekatan eksistensial pada teologi Kristen memiliki sejarah yang panjang dan beragam, dapat dirunut dari tokoh-tokoh seperti St. Agustinus dari Hippo, St. Thomas Aquinas, Blaise Pascal, dan Jacques Maritain.
