Aleksandr Ísajevítsj Solzhenítsyn

Aleksandr Ísajevítsj Solzhenítsyn (rússneska: Александр Исаевич Солженицын; 11. desember 1918 – 3. ágúst 2008) var rússneskur rithöfundur, leikritahöfundur og sagnfræðingur. Hann er frægastur fyrir verk sitt: Gulag-eyjarnar, en með því fékk heimsbyggðin spurnir af Gúlag fangabúðum Sovétríkjanna. Sjálfur eyddi hann átta árum í fangabúðum fyrir meinta óvirðingu í garð Stalíns. Solzhenítsyn fékk Nóbelsverðlaun í bókmenntum árið 1970 og var gerður útlægur frá Sovétríkjunum árið 1974. Hann sneri aftur til Rússlands árið 1994. Eftir hann liggur fjöldi verka, sjálfsævisöguleg, skáldverk, ljóð, leikrit og söguskoðanir.
