A tala é unha arte de pesca que consisten nun palangre especificamente cunha distancia mínima de 1 metro entre anzois con ata 1000 anzois nun máximo de 2000 m de tralla. Está regulado polo artigo 20 do do Decreto 424/1993 do 17 de decembro (DOG Nº 13 do xoves, 20 de xaneiro de 1994), onde se lle denomina pola forma palangrillo.

Xustificación terminolóxica

A terminación -illo da forma palangrillo faina sospeitosa de ser un castelanismo. Partindo da base de que se utiliza para a pesca de "ollomoles, congros, abadexos, robalizas, dentóns, rodaballos etc."[1] e baseándose na definición do Diccionario enciclopédico gallego-castellano de Eladio Rodríguez[2], podería equipararse a espinel. Neste mesmo texto, Eladio dános [3] unha subclasificación do palangre en corda, pincho, fondeiro e gorentes. Aspectos como a sinonimia de palangre co hiperónimo (corda) ou o hipónimo (pincho, no VOLG) ou a non sanción como substantivo por parte VOLG) desaconsellan o seu uso. Pola súa parte, a forma espinel non aparece reflectida nin no VOLG[4] nin na lexicografía xeral[5][6]. En cambio, tala si aparece recollida tanto no propio VOLG[4] como nestas mesmas fontes actuais[7][8] e na lexicografía histórica[9] con semellante significado. A existencia desta forma patrimonial e autorizada faría innecesaria un calco como palangrillo ou a creación dun neoloxismo como palangriño ou palangrete.
