Miño (pesca)

Os miño é unha das principais artes de pesca de enmalle, e ademais unha das máis populares e utilizadas polas embarcacións galegas de pesca artesanal, canda ás nasas.[1]

Segundo os rexistros da Consellería do Medio Rural e do Mar da Xunta de Galicia, 960 embarcacións que dispoñen da autorización para poder utilizala, das cales 110 están afiliadas ás confrarías de pescadores de Muros, Fisterra e Laxe.[1]

Características

O miño é unha arte de enmalle fixa ao fondo, formada por tres panos de rede superpostos, similar ao trasmallo, do que se diferencia polo seu maior tamaño e amplitude des mallas. Cada 24 horas deberán ser levantados do seu caladoiro,[2] para recoller as capturas e evitar que estas se deterioren na rede. Centola, sepia, sargo, pinto, maragota, sanmartiño, rodaballo, curuxo e linguado, entre outras, son as especies que adoidan capturarse con esta arte.[1]

O miño ten as seguientes características técnicas:[1]

  • A dimensión mínima de malla autorizada dos panos exteriores para o miño debe ser igual ou superior a 500 mm, e a do pano central ou interior igual ou superior a 90 mm.
  • Cada unha das tres pezas de rede ou panos que compoñen o miño debe ter unha lonxitude máxima de 50 m e unha altura máxima, despois de armada, entre trallas ou relingas,[3] de 3 m.

A tralla ou relinga superior leva flotadores, a outra inferior está lastrada con chumbos para manter o miño en posición vertical unha vez calada na auga. Están armadas de tal forma que capturan as especies mariñas que quedan embolsadas ou atrapadas nas mallas das redes rectangurales que as forman.[4]
