Frank Welker est un acteur américain né le à Denver (Colorado).
Travaillant de façon quasi exclusive dans l'animation, il est le grand spécialiste des cris d'animaux et des effets spéciaux (bruits de machines, etc.). Il est surtout connu pour avoir exprimé Fred Jones dans la franchise Scooby-Doo depuis sa création en 1969, et Scooby-Doo depuis 2002.
En septembre 2010, sa participation à près de 100 films faisait de lui l'acteur dont les films ont rapporté le plus au box-office américain, pour un total étant estimé aux alentours de 5,7 milliards de dollars (soit 650 000 $ de plus que Samuel L. Jackson)[1].

Depuis 1969 et la série Scooby-Doo, il prête sa voix au personnage de Fred Jones dans la quasi-totalité de ses apparitions dans la franchise[2]. Depuis 2002, il tient également le rôle du chien Scooby-Doo[2].
