Tuula on suomalainen naisen etunimi. Tuulan nimipäivä on vuodesta 1950 lähtien 14. toukokuuta. Tuula-nimen taustalla ovat ilmeisesti suomen kielen sanat tuuli ja tuulonen, mutta siihen on voinut vaikuttaa myös Larin-Kyöstin Tuulan tei -sanoitus.[1] Tuula-nimen suosion osasyitä oli luultavasti vanhempi nimi Tuulikki.[2] Kalevalassa Tuulikki on metsän kuninkaan Tapion tytär.

Tuula on Suomen tavallisimpia naisennimiä. Tuula-nimen oli Suomessa 1900-luvun alusta vuoden 2019 loppuun mennessä saanut 41 225 naista ja alle 5 miestä.[3] Nimen kulta-aikaa olivat 1940- ja 1950-luvut, jolloin Tuulaksi nimettiin yli 29 000 tyttöä.[3] Tuula oli Suomen sekä 1940- että 1950-luvun toiseksi suosituin etunimi. Sittemmin nimen suosio laski nopeasti, ja 2000-luvun alussa nimen sai enää noin kymmenen lasta vuodessa.[4] Silti Tuula oli ainakin vielä lokakuussa 2014 Suomen yleisin naisen kutsumanimi.[5]
