Böyük Dəhnə — Azərbaycan Respublikasının Şəki rayonunun eyniadlı inzibati ərazi dairəsində kənd.[2]

Tarixi

Acınohur gölündən 10 km. aralı, Turut çölündədir. Oykonim böyük (ölçü bildirir) və dəhnə (fars. "çay ağzı, keçid, suyun əsas mənbədən ayrıldığı yer, suvarma kanalının ağzı, sukeçirən yer, arx başı, arx başında bənd") komponentlərindən düzəlib, "böyük arx başı" mənasındadır[3].

Mədəniyyəti

1902-ci ildə kəndin ərazisində aparılan araşdırmalar zamanı burada üzərində qədim yunan yazıları olan abidə tapılmışdır. Abidənin I-II əsrlərə aid olduğu güman edilir.[4]

Şəki ərazisi olsa da iqlimi Mərkəzi Aran iqliminə daha yaxın iqlimdi.
