Sebatik Utara adalah salah satu kecamatan di Kabupaten Nunukan, Provinsi Kalimantan Utara, Indonesia. Sebatik Utara merupakan pemekaran dari kecamatan Sebatik yang disahkan oleh DPRD Nunukan pada tanggal 10 Agustus 2011 melalui Peraturan Daerah (Perda) Nomor 25 Tahun 2011.[1]

Pembagian administratif

Kecamatan Sebatik Utara terbagi ke dalam 3 desa, antara lain:

  1. Lapri
  2. Seberang
  3. Pancang

Peristiwa

Pada tanggal 16 Desember 2014, Presiden Jokowi mengunjungi wilayah perbatasan Republik Indonesia di Pulau Sebatik. Di pulau terluar ini, Presiden mengunjungi beberapa lokasi seperti Tanah Kuning Patok II dan Sungai Pancang, di mana terdapat pos Angkatan Laut yang dapat melihat langsung wilayah Malaysia, yakni Tawau. Di tempat ini, selain meninjau fasilitas di pos perbatasan, Presiden Jokowi juga menaiki menara pos perbatasan milik pasukan marinir TNI-AL di Sei Bajo, dan selanjutnya memanjat pos menara tertinggi Pos Perbatasan Sei Pancang, di Pulau Sebatik, Kalimantan Utara (Kaltara).[2]
