牛惟炳（1542年—？），字懋華，號承菴，直隸廣平府曲周縣人，明朝政治人物。

生平

隆慶元年（1567年）丁卯科順天府鄉試第十七名，萬曆二年（1574年）聯捷甲戌科會試第四十二名，登三甲第四名進士[1][2]。八年六月考选户科給事中，十年二月升刑科右，升礼科左，十一年五月上疏请停选宫女。出为湖广参议，十三年六月升江西按察司副使，徽宁兵备[3]

曾祖父牛紳；祖父牛璽，封知縣；父牛山木，曾任按察司僉事進階朝列大夫。母方氏（贈孺人）；繼母劉氏（封孺人）。具庆下[4]。
