坎帕拉[註 1]（斯瓦希里語：Kampala），是烏干達的首都和最大城市，人口約1,680,000人。海拔1,189公尺。並分為坎帕拉中央分區、卡溫佩區、馬金耶區、中川區和中川區五個政治區和魯巴加分區所構成。其周圍的大都市區包括鄰近的瓦基索區、穆科諾區、姆皮吉區、布伊奎區和盧韋羅區。烏干達統計局在8,451.9平方公里（3,263.3 平方英里）的區域內，估計2019年的坎帕拉都會區為6,709,900人以上。

据报道，坎帕拉在2015年以大都市區的名義，以国内生产总值估計為38.0221億美元，共佔了烏干達約一半的經濟。此外該地是非洲城市人口增长最快的城市之一，城市人口年增长率为4.03％。[3]总部位于纽约的全球发展咨询机构美世（Mercer）将坎帕拉评为东非最佳的居住城市。[4]領先於內羅畢和基加利，巴哈伊教七座靈曦堂之一座落於此。
