Keuskupan Atambua adalah salah satu keuskupan yang ada di Indonesia, serta merupakan keuskupan sufragan dari provinsi gerejawi yang berada dalam kesatuan dengan Keuskupan Agung Kupang dan Keuskupan Weetebula. Wilayah keuskupan ini meliputi 5200 km2 dan mencakup Kabupaten Belu, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara, dan Kabupaten Malaka di Timor Barat, Nusa Tenggara Timur, dengan pusatnya di Atambua.

Jumlah umat Keuskupan Atambua saat ini mencapai sekitar 553 ribu orang.

Sejarah

Keuskupan Atambua mulanya didirikan sebagai Vikariat Apostolik Timor Olandese (Timor Belanda) pada 25 Mei 1936, dipisahkan dari Vikariat Apostolik Isole della Piccola Sonda (Kepulauan Sunda Kecil). Pada tahun 1948 namanya diganti menjadi Vikariat Apostolik Atambua. Ketika hierarki Gereja Katolik di Indonesia didirikan oleh Paus Yohanes XXIII dengan konstitusi apostolik Quod Christus pada 3 Januari 1961, statusnya ditingkatkan menjadi diosis (keuskupan). Maka menjadi Keuskupan Atambua. Pada tahun 1967 dimekarkan menjadi dua keuskupan, yaitu Keuskupan Atambua dan Keuskupan Kupang.
