Albatros ekor-pendek (Phoebastria albatrus) adalah spesies burung laut besar yang langka dari pasifik utara. Meski spesies ini masih berhubungan dengan Albatros pasifik utara lainnya, spesies ini juga menunjukkan hubungan perilaku serta morfologi dengan Albatros dari pasifik selatan. Hal itu dijelaskan oleh naturalis Jerman Peter Simon Pallas dari koleksi kulit yang dikumpulkan oleh Georg Wilhelm Steller. Kesamaannya, mereka berada di ambang kepunahan karena maraknya perdagangan bulu, tetapi dengan adanya perlindungan baru-baru ini, jumlah mereka terus meningkat.
