Rockman

Rockman logo

Rockman er et ikke-kommersielt nøytralt norsk musikknettsted og samlingsplass for musikkelskere med hovedfokus innenfor musikksjangeren rock i vid forstand. Stedet er drevet av den anonyme «Rockman».

Prosjektet startet ved etablering av en musikkblogg i 2008 der første redaksjonelle artistomtale var historien om rockebandet Led Zeppelin. Populariteten omkring Rockman har siden starten eskalert og pr. 2010 er nettstedet en av Norges største musikknettsider med over 1,7 millioner lesere.

Nettstedet har musikkreportasjer og intervjuer med artister, og blir blant annet brukt av Universal Music Group i Norge.[1] Det samarbeider også med en rekke festivaler i Norge, som Hovefestivalen,[2] Notodden Blues Festival,[3] og Norway Rock Festival.[4] Rockman har blant annet arrangert flere typer musikkonkurranser, noen i samarbeid med festivaler og andre på egen hånd, som «Norges kuleste festivalplakat».[5]

Sivert Høyem, vokalist og frontfigur i det tidligere spellemannsvinnende rockebandet Madrugada, har uttalt at: «Rockman er nettopp et slik nettsted som norsk rock trenger aller mest for tiden».[6] Nettstedet har også blitt anbefalt av Verdens Gang.

Rockman har også en tilhengerside på det sosiale nettstedet Facebook.
