Кенет II Братазабойца (шатл. гэл.: Cináed mac Maíl Choluim, англ.: Kenneth II, памёр у 995) — кароль Альбы (Шатландыі) (971—995), сын караля Малькальма I.

Біяграфія

Кенет II стаў каралём Шатландыі ў 971 годзе і адразу ж адправіўся ў паход супраць брытаў і разарыў Стратклайд, магчыма, помсцячы за гібель свайго папярэдніка Кулена. Акрамя гэтага, шатландцы падчас яго кіравання часам нападалі на Нартумбрыю. У 973 годзе Кенет са шматлікімі іншымі брытанскімі каралямі прыехаў у Чэстэр, каб засведчыць пакору Эдгару Англійскаму. Паводле легенды, гэтыя каралі грэблі ў лодцы Эдгара, якая плыла па рацэ Ды. Эдгар усталяваў мяжу паміж Англіяй і Альбай, забраўшы сабе Кумбрыю. Аднак Кенет быў ненадзейным саюзнікам. Каля 980 года ён здзейсніў тры набегі на Англію і разарыў землі аж да Чэшыра.

У 970-х гадах у Шатландыі пачалася міжусобная вайна паміж Кенетам і Амлафам. Вайна доўжылася некалькі гадоў, пакуль Кенет не забіў суперніка ў 977 годзе.

У 995 годзе ў Фетэркарне кароль быў забіты падчас банкета, прыхільнікамі Канстанціна III, пасля таго, як паспрабаваў пазбавіць яго спадчыны і завяшчаць прастол свайму сыну Малькальму II.
