"Don't Pass Me By" adalah sebuah lagu dari the Beatles dari White Album. Sebuah lagu rock country, dan menjadi komposisi solo pertama yang ditulis oleh Ringo Starr.Dirilis sebagai single di Skandinavia dan memuncak di nomor satu di Denmark pada April 1969.[1]

Starr pertama kali memainkan lagu untuk The Beatles lainnya segera setelah dia bergabung pada Agustus 1962.[2] Selama wawancara, Starr mengomentari proses penulisan lagu, mengatakan: "Saya menulis Don't Pass Me By ketika saya sedang duduk-duduk di rumah. Saya mengutak-atik piano tapi saya hanya menggedornya kemudian sebuah melodi muncul dibarengi beberapa kata, saya harus terus melakukannya. Sangat menyenangkan bisa menyelesaikan lagu pertama saya yang telah saya tulis. Dan waktu yang sangat menyenangkan bagi saya juga semua orang sangat membantu, mulai merekam pemain biola gila itu adalah momen yang mendebarkan".[3]

Kali pertama publik menyinggung lagu ini ada pada sesi obrolan BBC yang memperkenalkan And I Love Her di acara radio Top Gear pada tahun 1964. Dalam percakapan, Starr ditanya apakah dia telah menulis lagu dan Paul McCartney mengejeknya segera setelah itu, menyanyikan baris pertama dari refrein, "Don't pass me by me, jangan membuatku menangis, jangan membuatku sedih, sayang".[4]
