《局外人》（英語：The Outsider，香港译《異鄉客》，台湾译《局外人》）是一部在HBO播出的美國迷你劇集，改編自作家史蒂芬·金2018年同名小說《局外人（英语：The Outsider (King novel)）》。2018年夏天，美國獨立製片公司媒體權益資本（英语：Media Rights Capital）獲得了小說的影視改編權[1]。同年12月3日獲得HBO預訂[2]。2019年10月22日，HBO宣佈劇集將於2020年1月12日首播[3]。

剧情概要

故事始于当地极受欢迎的英语教师兼少棒联盟教练的泰瑞·梅特兰被指控涉嫌强暴并分尸一名男童，而在众目睽睽下被拉尔夫·安德森警探逮捕一事。尽管警方有目击证人、监控录像和明确的物证显示他是有罪，但梅特兰却坚称无辜，且有完美的不在场证明（事发时在外地开会的现场视频），与警方物证自相矛盾。安德森警探在私家侦探荷莉·吉卜尼（英语：Holly Gibney）（《賓士先生》中的一名角色）的协助下，深入调查这起匪夷所思的案件，而后他们意识到真相远没有想象的简单，甚至发现有超自然力量介入其中。
