SPEED，為知名日本四人女子團體，於1990年代後期於日本達到事業顛峰，音樂銷售量達到累計兩千萬並於當時創下多項紀錄。但於2000年3月31日閃電解散；製作人為伊秩弘將（日语：伊秩弘将）。經紀事務所現名為VISION FACTORY。

於長達八年的休眠之後，後於2008年8月開始宣布完全重組復出。

成員

  • 島袋寬子：Shimabukuro Hiroko，1984年4月7日生，負責主音。解散後以hiro的名義進行solo活動，繼而以Coco d'Or的名義推出了爵士音樂作品。
  • 今井繪理子：Imai Eriko，1983年9月22日生，負責主音。曾以Eriko with Crunch，今井繪理子和elly的名義進行solo活動。其前夫為搖滾樂團175R的主唱 Shogo，2人育有一子，2005年重新展開活動，2007年9月發表離婚。
  • 上原多香子：Uehara Takako，1983年1月14日生，負責伴舞及合音。2000年解散后以上原多香子個人名義作歌手和女優活動。2008重組後在團體中擔任演唱會MC和溝通等角色。
  • 新垣仁繪：Aragaki Hitoe，1981年4月7日生，負責伴舞及合音，是SPEED的隊長。以HITOE's 57 MOVE和HITOE的名義推出過個人音樂作品，后赴美國紐約留學，並且考取了瑜伽教師執照并在日本開設了瑜伽教室。

四人和安室奈美惠、MAX等沖繩藝人一樣皆為『沖縄アクターズスクール』（沖繩藝人學校）出身，據稱均為沖繩藝人學校9人組合Brand-new kids的主力成員，其他成員還包括現於臺灣發展的大嘴巴女主音千田愛紗。

簡歷

巔峰

1995年11月11日在日本電視音樂節目《THE夜もヒッパレ》中開始活動，同年12月2日經由公開招募決定團體名稱（正式發表為1996年1月13日，同日為SPEED正式組成員）。1996年8月5日發行出道單曲《Body & Soul》，11月18日發行第二張單曲《STEADY》，賣破百萬，奠定了團體的地位。同年12月31日獲得日本唱片大賞新人賞。

1997年5月，出道專輯《Starting Over》發表，銷量達到兩百萬。年底兩張百萬單曲《White Love》、《my graduation》更使之達到顛峰，1998年全盛期的兩張專輯《RISE》、《MOMENT》銷售皆破兩百萬。

此三年間累計銷量即破2000萬張，打破日本女子團體的紀錄，是日本樂壇甚為罕見的現象。

解散

1999年10月5日、處在絕頂期的SPEED無預警突然宣布將於2000年4月1日解散，11月20日起，SPEED分別在名古屋，東京，大阪，福岡等地舉行一連串的告別演唱會。門票在短短3小時之內就全部銷售完，觀看演唱會的人數總計高達25萬人次，亦是第一個登上東京巨蛋演唱的女子團體。後於2000年3月31日在日本朝日電視台音樂節目《Music Station》演出後解散。

休眠

解散後分別於2001年與2003年，為了慈善籌款以「限期復出」的方式舉行演唱會及發表唱片。而於之後的長久時間中，成員們也以個人身分於樂壇活動著。

重組

2008年8月20日，SPEED宣佈開始完全重組復出。11月12日，發表重組後首張新單曲《明日的天空》。年底紅白歌合戰演唱《White Love》。

2015年8月，團員島袋寬子與今井繪理子另組新團「ERIHIRO」，新單曲〈Stars〉於同月26日發行[1]。
