Erken Modern Dönem Avrupası veya Yeni Çağ Avrupası kabaca 15'inci yüzyılın sonundan 18'inci yüzyılın sonuna kadar süregelen Orta Çağ'ın sonuyla Sanayi Devrimi'in başlangıcı arasındaki zamanda yer alan Avrupa dönemidir.[1] Tarihçiler, 1450'lerde taşınabilir tip baskının icadı, 1453'te İstanbul'un Fethi, 1487'de Güller Savaşı'nın sonu, 1490'larda İtalya'da Yüksek Rönesans'ın başlangıcı, Reconquista'nın sona ermesi ve ardından Kristof Kolomb'un 1492'de Amerika'ya yaptığı yolculuklar veya 1517'de Protestan Reformu'nun başlangıcı ile Erken Modern Dönem'in başlangıcını çeşitli şekillerde belirlerler. Bitiş noktasına dair kesin tarihlerde değişiklik gösterir ve genellikle ya 1789'daki Fransız Devrimi'nin başlangıcıyla ya da 18. yüzyılın sonlarında İngiltere'deki Sanayi Devrimi'nin daha belirsiz bir şekilde tanımlanmış başlangıcıyla bağlantılıdır.

Erken modern dönemin daha kayda değer eğilimleri ve olaylarından bazıları Reform ve kışkırttığı dini çatışmaları (Fransız Din Savaşları ve Otuz Yıl Savaşı dahil), kapitalizmin yükselişi ve modern ulus devletler, yaygın cadı avları ve Amerika'nın Avrupalılar tarafında sömürgeleştirilmesidir.
