Ang Proxima Centauri (Latin proxima, na may kahulugang "kasunod" o "malapit sa")[1] ay isang pulang duwende na may layong 4.24 sinag-taon mula sa Araw, na nasa loob ng G-cloud, sa konstelasyon ng Centaurus.[2][3] Natuklasan ito noong 1915 ng isang Suwisong astrónomo na si Robert Innes, ang Direktor ng Union Observatory sa Timog Aprika, at naging pinakamalapit na natuklasang bituin mula sa Araw,[4] kahit na malabo itong makita ng mga mata, na may maliwanag na kalakhan na 11.05.
