5-HT1B receptor (5-hidroksitriptaminski receptor 1B) je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran HTR1B genom.[1][2] 5-HT1B receptor je tip 5-HT receptora.[3]

Distribucija u tkivu i funkcija

5-HT1B receptor deluje na CNS, gde indukuje presinaptičku inhibiciju i utiče na ponašanje. On takođe ima vaskularne efekte, kao što je pulmonarna vazokonstrikcija.

Blokiranje 5-HT1B receptora povećava broj osteoblasta, koštanu masu, i brzinu formiranja kostiju.[4]

Ovaj protein je kod ljudi kodiran HTR1B genom.

Genetička varijanta u promotorskom regionu, A-161T, je bila ispitana u pogledu inpakta na crte ličnosti, i utvrđeno je da nema uticaja.[8]
