John Boynton "J. B." Priestley, OM (/ˈpriːstli/; 13. septembar 1894 – 14. august 1984) bio je engleski književnik, publicist i radio-komentator. Najpoznatiji je kao autor vatrenih propagandnih govora na radiju tokom bitke za Britaniju, a za koje se smatra da su značajno digli moral britanske javnosti u najkritičnijem trenutku Drugog svjetskog rata. Njegove ljevičarske socijalističke ideje, odnosno zalaganje za sistem države blagostanja su ga potakle da 1942. godine stane na čelo kratkotrajne Stranke zajedničkog bogatstva u službenoj opoziciji Churchillovoj ratnoj vladi.
