Alphonse Louis Nicolas Borrelly (8 decembrie 1842 - 28 februarie 1926) a fost un astronom francez. El s-a alăturat Observatorului din Marseille în 1864. În timpul carierei lui, a descoperit mulți asteroizi și multe comete, de asemenea, incluzând și cometa 19P/Borrelly, cea care îi poartă și numele.

Academia Franceză de Științe i-a acordat premiul Prix Valz în 1903 [3] și Premiul Lalande în 1909,[4] pentru contribuțiile sale în domeniul astronomiei. Astfel, asteroidul 1539 Borrelly a fost numit în cinstea lui.
