マーク・ミラー (漫画家)
マーク・ミラー (Mark Millar , 1969年 12月24日 - )は、スコットランド 出身のコミックの脚本家(原作者 )である。
生い立ち
コートブリッジ で生まれる[1] 。4歳の頃、現在は特別支援教育 に従事する兄のボビーの影響によりコミックを読み始める。[2] 。
キャリア
1980-90年代
1980年代後半、ティーンエイジャーの頃にアラン・ムーア と出会い、漫画家 を志すようになる。
漫画家としての初めての仕事は高校時代の Saviour である。
1990年代に入ると 2000 AD 、 Sonic the Comic 、 Crisis のタイトルを手掛けた。
イギリスでのミラーの活動によりDCコミックス から注目を得て、1994年に『スワンプシング 』でアメリカン・コミックデビューを果たす。その後もJLA 、『ザ・フラッシュ 』、Aztek を手掛ける。
2000年代の作品
2007年のミラー。
2000年にDCのインプリントであるワイルドストームのThe Authority をウォーレン・エリス から引き継ぎ、商業的に成功を収める。『スーパーマン: レッド・サン 』を最後にDCを離れた。
2001年よりアルティメット・マーベル で『アルティメット X-MEN 』を開始させる。2002年には The Ultimates を手掛け、後にアニメ映画化もされた。
『アルティメット X-MEN 』は33号で降板し、その後はMarvel Knights Spider-Man 、Ultimate Fantastic Four を手掛けた。
2006年にはミニシリーズ『シビル・ウォー 』を執筆し、2008年より『ファンタスティック・フォー 』[3] 、Marvel 1985 を手掛ける[4] [5] [6] 。他に『ウルヴァリン 』のストーリー "Old Man Logan "を執筆している[7] 。
ミラーは『アイアンマン 』のジョン・ファヴロー に脚本のアドバイスを与えた作家の一人であり、ヴィランをマンダリンからアイアンモンガーに替えるというアイデアを出した[8] 。
ミラーとWanted の共同作者のJ・G・ジョーンズ 。2010年10月2日、マンハッタンのビッグ・アップル・コンベンション。
ミラーワールド
2004年に出版社ミラーワールドを立ち上げる。ミラーワールド作品にはWanted 、Chosen 、The Unfunnies 、『キック・アス 』、War Heroes がある。Wanted は2008年にアンジェリーナ・ジョリー 、モーガン・フリーマン 、ジェームズ・マカヴォイ 出演で映画化 された[9] 。また『キック・アス』は2010年にマシュー・ヴォーン 監督により映画化 された。さらにWar Heroes もマイケル・デ・ルカ 製作での映画化が発表されている[10] [11] 。
私生活
グラスゴー に住んでいる[1] [2] 。カトリック教徒である[1] 。
