"האישה שבי" (באנגלית: The Woman in Me) הוא ספר זיכרונות מאת הזמרת האמריקאית בריטני ספירס. הוא יצא לאור ב-24 באוקטובר 2023, בהוצאת Gallery Books וסיימון אנד שוסטר. בישראל יצא בחודש מרץ ב"אגם הוצאה לאור". שמו מהווה התייחסות למילים בשירה "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" ‏(2001), בו היא מבצעת את המילים "I'm just trying to find the woman in me".[1]

ספר הזיכרונות הופץ בפורמטים דיגיטליים בו-זמנית עם המהדורות המודפסות.[2] ב-13 באוקטובר 2023, אישרה ספירס שהיא לא תקריא את תוכנו בשל העובדה שהוא "רגשי מדי עבורה", וגייסה את השחקנית מישל ויליאמס להקליט את עיקרי הדברים, בעוד שהיא עצמה הקריאה את ההקדמה שלו.[2][3]

ספירס קידמה את הספר במגזין פיפל באמצעות דיבור על תוכנו וצילום לשער הראשי של אותו העיתון.[4]

רקע

ב-21 בפברואר 2022, דווח כי ספירס חתמה על עסקה בגובה 15 מיליון דולרים,[5] אחת מעסקאות הספרים היקרות ביותר בכל הזמנים.[6] ב-11 ביולי 2023, הודיעה ספירס כי הספר ייקרא "האישה שבי", וייצא לאור ב-24 באוקטובר 2023.[7] לפי הדיווחים, הוא נכתב על ידי העיתונאי וסופר הצללים סם לנסקי.[8]

תקציר

"האישה שבי" מתאר את מסעה של ספירס לתהילה, האתגרים עימם התמודדה ומאמציה להשתחרר משמרנות ארוכת שנים ששלטה פעם בחייה.[9]

בתחילת ספר הזיכרונות, ספירס כותבת שסבתה מצד אביה, ג'ין, נשלחה למרכז בריאות הנפש על ידי סבה מצד אביה של ספירס. תינוקם בן שלושה ימים מת וג'ין הייתה המומה מצער. בהיותה במרכז בריאות הנפש קיבלה ג'ין ליתיום; מאוחר יותר היא ירתה בעצמה מעל קברו של הילד. ספירס כותבת, "הטרגדיה עוברת במשפחה שלי".[10]

ספירס כתבה שהיא הוצגה כתמימה, אף על פי שהייתה מעשנת קבועה מגיל 14 ואיבדה את בתוליה בערך באותו זמן.[11] בשנת 2002, בן זוגה לשעבר, ג'סטין טימברלייק נפרד ממנה באמצעות הודעת טקסט.[11] כשהיא נכנסה להיריון מטימברלייק, היא כתבה שהוא שכנע אותה לעשות הפלה.[12] היא הוסיפה כי בגד בה, והעירה: "צלמים תפסו את ג'סטין עם אחת הבנות מאול סיינטס במכונית".[8] לאחר הפרידה, הדימוי הציבורי שלה נפגע וכתוצאה מכך החלה לקבל תרופה בשם אמפטמין.[8] היא גם הודתה שהיא בגדה בטימברלייק עם הרקדן וייד רובסון.

הספר זכה להערכה רבה וביקורות חיוביות מניו יורק טיימס,[14] מגזין טיים,[15] ולוס אנג'לס טיימס.[16]

בביקורת שפורסמה ב-BBC, מארק סבאג' כינה את הספר "סיפור כועס ומזהיר",[11] בעוד שבאינדפנדנט כינו אותו "גולמי, לא מסונן ועוצר נשימה בזעם שלו".[8] בכתבה לפורבס, טוני פיצג'רלד הצהיר כי ספר הזיכרונות "משנה את השיחה על בריאות הנפש וכוכבת הילדים".[17]

הצלחה מסחרית
