מוריס דיריפלה (בצרפתית: Maurice Duruflé, ‏11 בינואר 1902 – 16 ביוני 1986) היה מלחין, נגן עוגב ומחנך צרפתי.

קורות חייו

דיריפלה נולד בלובייר, נורמנדי-עלית. ב-1912 נכנס לבית הספר למקהלה של קתדרלת רואן, שם למד פסנתר ועוגב אצל ז'יל הלינג. בגיל 17 עבר לפריז, שם המשיך באופן פרטי בלימודי עוגב אצל שארל טורנמיר, שלצידו שימש כעוזר בבזיליקת קלוטילדה הקדושה בפריז עד 1927. ב-1920 נכנס דיריפלה לקונסרבטואר של פריז וסיים את לימודיו שם בפרסים ראשונים בעוגב, הרמוניה, ליווי בפסנתר ובהלחנה.

ב-1927 מינה לואי ויירן את דיריפלה לעוזרו בקתדרלת נוטרדאם בפריז. דיריפלה היה לנגן עוגב בשם בלבד בסן-אטיין-די-מון בפריז בשנת 1929 ובמשרה זו החזיק עד יומו האחרון. ב-1939 ניגן בביצוע בכורה את הקונצ'רטו לעוגב של פרנסיס פולנק (הקונצ'רטו לעוגב, כלי קשת וטימפני בסול מינור); הוא יעץ לפולנק בנושא המשלבים של תפקיד העוגב. ב-1943 התמנה לפרופסור להרמוניה בקונסרבטואר של פריז, שם עבד עד 1970. ב-1947 כתב דיריפלה את היצירה המפורסמת ביותר, כנראה, מבין יצירותיו המעטות: רקוויאם אופוס 9 לסולנים, מקהלה, עוגב ותזמורת. באותה שנה הייתה מארי-מדלן שבלייה לעוזרתו בסן-אטיין-די-מון. השניים נישאו ב-1953 . היו אלה נישואיו השניים של דיריפלה, אחרי שנישואיו הראשונים התבטלו באישור הוותיקן ב-1953. הזוג היה לצמד עוגב מפורסם ופופולרי, שיצא לסיורים אחדים בשנות ה-60 ובראשית שנות ה-70.

דיריפלה נפצע קשה בתאונת דרכים בשנת 1975 וכתוצאה מכך ויתר על הנגינה והעדיף להסתגר בדירתו ולהשאיר את עבודת הקודש בכנסיית סן-אטיין-די-מון לאשתו מארי-מדלן (שנפגעה גם היא בתאונה). הוא מת בלוברסיאן (סמוך לפריז) בשנת 1986, בן 84.

דיריפלה התייחס בביקורתיות נוקבת למוזיקה שלו עצמו. הוא פרסם רק קומץ יצירות ובמקרים רבים המשיך לערוך ולשנות יצירות גם לאחר הוצאתן לאור. לדוגמה, לטוקטה מתוך סוויטה אופוס 5 יש סיום שונה לגמרי בהוצאה הראשונה בהשוואה לגרסה החדשה יותר, ובפרטיטורה של Fugue sur le nom d'Alain הייתה במקור הוראה לאצ'לרנדו לכל אורך היצירה. כתוצאה מרדיפת השלמות הזאת שמור למוזיקה שלו, בעיקר לעוגב, מעמד גבוה מאוד ברפרטואר.
