A península de Huon é unha gran península localizada no extremo oriental da illa de Nova Guinea. Administrativamente pertence á provincia de Morobe de Papúa Nova Guinea.[1]

Foi clasificada polo Fondo Mundial para a Natureza como unha ecorrexión (Bosque chuvioso da península de Huon, AA0107).[2]

Ten 89 km de longo. Encóntrase rodeada polo mar de Bismarck ao norte, o mar de Salomón ao leste, o golfo de Huon ao sur e o río Markham ao oeste.[3] Na península encóntrase a cordilleira Saruwaged, que se eleva a máis de 4 000 m.[3]

Foi nomeada en honor ao navegante francés Jean-Michel Huon de Kermadec, capitán da fragata L'Espérance, que era o segundo ao mando da expedición comandada por Bruni d'Entrecasteaux, á fronte da nave La Recherche que, entre 1791 e 1793 intentou encontrar a expedición perdida de La Pérouse.
