David Murray, nado en Edimburgo o 28 de decembro de 1909 e finado en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria o 5 de abril de 1973[1] foi un piloto de automobilismo escocés.

Traxectoria

Participou en cinco Grandes Premios do Campionato do Mundo de Fórmula 1, debutando o 13 de maio de 1950 e tamén fundou o equipo escocés Ecurie Ecosse, baseado en Merchiston Mews de Edimburgo.

Murray era contable de profesión[2] e correu nun ERA e posteriormente nun Maserati 4CLT tanto internamente como en eventos europeos, antes de formar a Ecurie Ecosse en 1952.[1] Tamén participou en rallys e subidas. Logo dun evento do Campionato Mundial, para Ecosse, Murray retirouse como piloto para concentrarse en dirixir o equipo.[2][1] Tamén participou en rallys e ascensións.[2] Ecurie Ecosse gañou a carreira das 24 Horas de Le Mans en 1956 e 1957 cada vez cun Jaguar D-Type.[3][2]

Murray mudouse a España e morreu nun accidente de tránsito nas Illas Canarias o 5 de abril de 1973. [1]
