Huittisten helluntaiseurakunta eli Huittisten Kotikirkko (aik. Huittisten Siion-seurakunta) on vuonna 1945 perustettu Huittisissa toimiva helluntaiseurakunta.[1] Seurakunta on Suomen Helluntaikirkon jäsen.[2]

Vuonna 1986 seurakunta kuului Satakunnan keskikokoisiin helluntaiseurakuntiin jäsenmäärän ollessa 200–400 hengen välimaastossa.[3]

Historia

Huittisissa on historiallisesti pitkät perinteet voimakkaan hengellisen liikehdinnän alueena. Liisa Erkintyttären kautta 1756 syntynyt rukoilevaisherätys levisi Huittisiin. Lauttakylän Junttilassa pidettyihin hartauksiin 1842 osallistuneisiin sovellettin hartaudet kieltävää konventikkeliplakaattia. Huittinen oli myös 1820–1840-luuvilla voimakkaan evankelisen herätyksen aluetta.[4]

Helluntaiherätys saapui Huittisiin 1930-luvun alussa. Alussa seurakunnan työalue oli laaja käsittäen Punkalaitumen, Keikyän, Kiikan, Köyliön, Säkylän, Vampulan, Alastaron ja Urjalan pitäjät. Vuonna 1938 Artturi Kukkula ja Martti Kallio pitivät Runnin mäellä. Kesällä 1939 Lauttarannassa järjestettin kastetilaisuus. Seurakuntalaiset tekivät lähetystyötä Huittisten varavankilassa. Sotien jälkeen Artturi Kukkula asettui asumaan Huittisiin ja myös Keikyässä syntyi herätystä 1946–1947. Lauttakylän ensimmäinen kastetilaisuus pidettiin juhannuksena 1946.[4]

Huittisten helluntaiseurakunta perustettiin 16. syyskuuta 1945. Seurakunta toimi pitkään nimellä Huittisten Siion-seurakunta, kunnes se otti 14. helmikuuta 1982 uudelleen nimeksi Huittisten helluntaiseurakunta. Seurakunta hankki ensimmäisen kokousteltan 1961.[4]

Rukoushuone

Huittisten helluntiaseurakunta perusti rukoushuoneyhdistyksen lokakuussa 1948. Ennen omaa rukoushuonetta seurakunta kokoontui palokunnan tilooissa. Helluntaiseurakunta osti sillan vieressä sijaitseva Matikaisen tilan ja kunnosti sen rukoushuoneekseen. Ensimmäinen ehtoolliskokous pidettiin talossa 3. huhtikuuta 1949. Rukoushuone vihittiin käyttöön 2. heinäkuuta 1950. Kokoussalissa on 150 paikkaa.[4]

Seurakunta sai vaihtaa omistamansa rukoushuoneen ja Matikaisen tilan Huittisten kauppaln omistamaan Puistola-nimiseen tonttiin. Helluntaiseurakunta rakensi uuden temppelin Puistolaan, joka valmistui 1978. Lähes kaikki uuden temppelin rakennustyöt tehtiin talkootyönä.[4]
