Väikesed Antillid

Väikesed Antillid on saarteahelik Kariibi meres. Väikesed Antillid loetakse kuuluvat Põhja-Ameerikasse, välja arvatud Trinidadile ja Tobagole ning Venezuelale kuuluvad saared, mis loetakse kuuluvaks Lõuna-Ameerikasse.

Aheliku põhjaosa moodustavad Leeuwardi saared, mis ulatub Neitsisaartest loodes Dominicani edelas, keskosa moodustavad Tuulepealsed saared, mis ulatuvad Martinique'ist põhjas Trinidadini lõunas, ja lõunaosa moodustavad Tuulealused saared, mis asuvad Venezuela ranniku lähedal ja ulatuvad Isla de Margaritast idas Arubani läänes. Väikestest Antillidest ida poole jääb Atlandi ookean, läände Kariibi meri. Saarestikust loode poole jäävad Suured Antillid (neist kõige lähemal on Puerto Rico) ja lõunasse Lõuna-Ameerika manner.

Saarestikus asuvad tervenisti Saint Kitts ja Nevis, Antigua ja Barbuda, Dominica, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent ja Grenadiinid, Grenada, Barbados ning Trinidad ja Tobago. Lisaks kuulub osa saari Ameerika Ühendriikidele, Suurbritanniale, Prantsusmaale, Hollandile ja Venezuelale.

Suvel ja sügisel kannatavad Väikesed Antillid sageli taifuunide tõttu.

Väikesed Antillid on vulkaanilise tekkega. Paljud vulkaanud saarestikus on tänapäeval kustunud, kuid leidub ka tegevvulkaane, mille pursked on viimase saja aasta jooksul hulgaliselt inimesi tapnud.
