I started out by mostly fixing and adding citations in my spare time, an electronic version of raking a rock garden. I also like working on backlogs because seeing the numbers go down feels good and seeing them go up feels bad. Now I'm branching out to de-stubbing because it's a chance to learn about new topics and then share what I've learned.

Currently participating in: Unreferenced article backlog drive August 2026, focusing on African unrefs. (Burkina Faso now has zero unreferenced articles!)

Currently focused on Top/High-importance stubs in Africa. My goal is to get them up to C-Class.

I succeeded in my personal goal to get the number of Top-importance African stubs down under 100, and now I'm trying to make sure we keep it below 100. The count is currently: 85. Next up is getting High-importance African stubs down below 250. It's currently at: 311.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT IT, NOW YOU DO: The Wikipedia Library is maybe my favorite program on all of Wikipedia. If your account is six months old, and you've made 500 edits (even if the edits aren't very big!), you can get access to so many great articles and books for free.

In some cases, I'll be trying to find a couple of small details about an article I'm destubbing, and thanks to my Wikipedia Library membership, the publisher will just give me the whole book instead of just one chapter. It's a great complement to what you get through your local public library or university library, and it encourages me to destub more because I learn both about what I'm destubbing and so much more rich context around it, even if that context doesn't make it into my edits. Do yourself a favor and sign up for the Wikipedia Library if you're eligible, and if you're not, get 500 edits under your belt and do it.
