^ abGuangzhou Songri was relegated to Jia-B after 1999 season, and fallen to Division 2 in 2000, soon after the relegation the club dismissed.
^ abShanghai Zobon renamed to Shanghai United after Zhu Jun's taking over before the 2005 season. Shanghai United then merged with Shanghai Shenhua after Zhu Jun took over Shenhua before the 2007 season. Shanghai Shenhua renamed to Shanghai Shenhua United while Shanghai United was dissolved.
