Football league season
The 2017–18 Azerbaijan Premier League was the 26th season of the Azerbaijan Premier League . The season began on 11 August 2017 and ended on 19 May 2018.
Although unconfirmed by UEFA , it was expected that the winners of the league this season would earn a spot in the first qualifying round of the 2018–19 UEFA Champions League , and the second and third placed clubs would earn a place in the first qualifying round of the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League .[ 2]
Qarabağ were the defending champions.[ 3]

Shuvalan was relegated at the conclusion of the previous season.[ 3] Sabail were promoted and participated in the Premier League this season.[ 4]
