A Gypsy's Kiss

Το A Gypsy's Kiss είναι τραγούδι του χαρντ ροκ συγκροτήματος Deep Purple, το έκτο κομμάτι του δίσκου "Perfect Strangers", ο οποίος κυκλοφόρησε τον Σεπτέμβριο του 1984 ανεβαίνοντας στο # 5 στην Μεγάλη Βρετανία, ενώ έγινε πλατινένιος στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες.[1]

Οι ηχογραφήσεις του δίσκου διήρκεσαν από τις 10 Ιουλίου μέχρι τις 26 Αυγούστου 1984. Το "A Gypsy's Kiss" αποτελεί ένα από τα πιο δυναμικά κομμάτια του δίσκου, με μία εισαγωγή από την κιθάρα του Ρίτσι Μπλάκμορ να δίνει το έναυσμα για ένα γρήγορο χαρντ ροκ κομμάτι, με εξαιρετικά σόλο από τον Μπλάκμορ και τον κιμπορντίστα Τζον Λορντ.

Οι στίχοι του Ίαν Γκίλαν αναφέρονται στα προβλήματα της μουσικής βιομηχανίας εκείνη την εποχή και επικρίνει την επιρροή του αμερικανικού τρόπου προσέγγισης προς την σκηνή της ροκ.[2]

Σινγκλ κυκλοφορίες

Το "A Gypsy's Kiss" κυκλοφόρησε σε μορφή σινγκλ στην δεύτερη πλευρά της ισπανικής έκδοσης του 7" του τραγουδιού "Perfect Strangers", το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε τον Οκτώβριο του 1984. Επίσης, το 1985 συμπεριλήφθηκε στο ΕΡ του "Perfect Strangers", μαζί με το ομώνυμο κομμάτι, το "Wasted Sunsets" και το "Hungry Daze", το οποίο εκδόθηκε στην Μεγάλη Βρετανία.[3]
